1st Year Down Football Birthday Setup
This football-themed first birthday leaned into a neutral, elevated color palette. Sage, taupe, brown, and soft gold gave the classic sports theme a more modern feel. We installed a custom soft play area with a coordinating ball pit, along with large balloon installations at both the entryway and backyard.
The custom backdrop became the focal point. Turf panels were used and field markings were spray-painted to resemble a real football field. A cream-painted field goal post tied everything together without overpowering the softer tones.
The backyard presented unique layout challenges, including a fenced pool that limited usable space and hedges positioned directly behind the backdrop area. To maintain visual impact without overcrowding the space, we carefully adjusted balloon placement and anchored the entryway installation to roof tiles when no traditional mounting surface was available. The result was a cohesive, high-impact setup that felt intentional despite the tight layout.
Rookie of the Year Football Birthday at Balboa Yacht Club
This “Rookie of the Year” first birthday was designed around a classic red, white, and blue palette with subtle vintage influences. Hosted at Balboa Yacht Club, the marina backdrop and clean turf provided a refined setting for the celebration. We installed a white bounce house and enclosed soft play zone while also overseeing the overall event design and coordination.
Our team managed both planning and production, ensuring consistency across all visual elements. A custom event logo was developed and applied to cups, printed materials, and the bounce house graphic. The dessert display included coordinated cupcakes, cookies, cake, and themed favor buckets. Guest tables were styled with blue hydrangeas, trophy accents, mini footballs, and “#1” details to reinforce the concept.
The venue itself made for a smooth setup day. Although unloading required a longer walk due to marina access and road placement, the on-site staff and clear designated space made logistics easy. With calm winter weather and a sunny morning, everything came together effortlessly. The final result felt polished, playful, and perfectly suited for a first birthday celebration by the water.
