Welcome to Pepper Play!
We’re two best friends from Orange County who have known each other since high school. Somewhere between 5th period at FVHS (Go Barons!) and a debate over cheapy pens, we became friends. Twenty years later, we still laugh about which pen works best.
We’re detailed people. Maybe a little too much.
If a recipe calls for some impossible ingredient, we’ll drive to the salt mines to find it. We’ve spent way too much time making group Halloween costumes, planning birthdays, organizing girls’ dinners, and dressing up as Sailor Scouts because it seemed like a good idea at the time.
Long before Pepper Play existed, we were already those people.
For years we talked about getting into parties but never pulled the trigger. Then in 2023, came our first balloon garland. *pats on the back* all around!!! Looking back, wow, we’ve come a long way lol. It was fate that during this time we had an opportunity to invest in a soft play set. We thought, “hm, it’s just a small investment. What could go wrong? Just close our eyes and jump…”
As it turns out, kids’ parties are the best. Give kids bubbles and they’re having the greatest day of their lives. Add bright colors, fun themes, and a ball pit, and honestly, we’re pretty excited too.
Today, Pepper Play has grown far beyond the side project we imagined. Between our regular jobs, late-night texts, mockups, loading vans, and trying to figure out how Gen Z edits videos, life is a little busier than we expected.
You’ll almost always find us at setup, occasionally joined by our very supportive (and mostly non-volunteer) partners. Between Chan’s latest foodie find and whatever we’re HaHa-ing about, there’s never a quiet day around here.
And somewhere along the way, there’s usually an overly enthusiastic “It’s a wOndErFuL dAy at PepPeR pLay!” in a voice only we understand.
