A Winning Setup for Maximilian’s 1st Birthday
Little Maximilian’s first birthday was truly a touchdown celebration! Hosted in Placentia, this adorable football-themed party — titled “1st Maximilian Year Down” — brought together soft play fun, playful balloon designs, and charming football accents.
Pepper Play helped bring the theme to life with a balloon garland at the home’s entry, a beige soft play setup in the backyard, and balloons styled on custom signage. The color palette blended yellow, sage green, taupe, and white, perfectly fitting for a fall football theme while keeping the look fresh and elevated.
Three Statement Installations
To create an immersive game-day experience, three large display boards anchored the décor:
- 🏟️ A football field board featuring textured grass
- 💚 A main green backdrop for family photos
- 🏈 A life-sized football player cutout with a photo hole for guests to pose in
To complete the scene, a custom field goal post added a sporty touch, turning the backyard into a mini football field for Max’s big day.
Early Morning Setup
Our team arrived bright and early at 8:00 AM to start setting up across three areas. By 10:30 AM, every balloon, backdrop, and soft play piece was in place — just in time for guests to arrive.
Max was the sweetest little spectator, cruising around in his walker, curiously watching us transform the space. His smiles (and occasional giggles) made the morning that much more special.
There was even a life-size photo stand-in football player!
Teamwork with Rowyn Events
We had the pleasure of working alongside Rowyn Events, who handled the tablescapes and details with such care. Collaborating with them was seamless — we even created balloon mockups together to make sure every detail tied perfectly into the overall football theme. The result was cohesive, charming, and full of personality — just like Max himself.
Soft Play & Balloons for the Win
The beige soft play setup became the highlight for all the little ones, providing a safe and stylish place to play. Meanwhile, the balloon garlands and signage décor pulled everything together, creating that wow factor from the front entry all the way to the backyard.
It was the perfect combination of modern design and playful spirit — a beautiful way to celebrate Max’s “first down” milestone!
