On May 17th, 2025, Pepper Play had the opportunity to set up for a very special first birthday party in Irvine. The family chose the theme “What a Onederful World,” and it was a perfect match for a bright spring morning at Quail Hill Community Center.
Setting Up at Quail Hill Community Center
Our crew arrived early to make sure everything was ready ahead of time. Quail Hill Community Center is a popular venue in Irvine, and one detail families should know is that the event rooms are a bit of a walk from the parking area. It takes some extra coordination to move equipment inside, but with planning and teamwork we had the setup in place smoothly and on time.
The Soft Play Setup
For this party, the family requested our large white soft play set, customized with light blue and green balls to match the theme. The play space featured:
- The Pyramid Climber — always a hit, with slides on all four sides so multiple kids can play at once.
- A 6-foot round ball pit — filled with light blue and green balls for a clean, modern look.
- Our Rainbow Tunnel — where little ones crawled under and over throughout the afternoon.
With about 30 children attending — ranging from toddlers to 7 years old — the setup gave everyone something to enjoy. Even though the venue doesn’t allow bounce houses, the soft play kept kids busy and happy the entire time.
Clean and Ready for Play
One thing we always focus on is cleanliness and safety. Before the first guests arrived, our team wiped down and sanitized every mat and surface. Parents noticed, and it gave them peace of mind knowing the play space was fresh and ready for their children.

After looking through several soft play rental companies, Pepper Play was by far the most responsive, professional, and well-priced – from the first communication, through my (several!) request changes, and their fast and timely set-up, they were so wonderful to work with. We had about 15 kiddos ranging from 12m to 7 years at our party and each and everyone one of them had a blast with the soft play, even without a bounce house (that the venue wouldn’t allow). Belinda and her team were SO kind and also so thorough to wipe/sanitize everything down right before the party started too. If I could give 10 stars, I would!
