Enzo may have just turned one, but he’s already speeding through milestones! For his very first birthday—also known as his Dohl, a traditional Korean celebration—his family threw a high-energy, race car-themed party at the Portola Springs Community Center in Irvine, CA, and we were so excited to be part of it.

From the moment guests arrived, they knew they were in for a celebration that was anything but ordinary. Enzo’s party theme—“Enzo’s Pit Stop”—was inspired by his early walking and fast-paced personality. What better way to honor a speedy little one than with a race-themed bash?
Soft Play That Stole the Show
At Pepper Play, we provided a large white soft play set decked out in custom race car graphics. The circular ball pit became the centerpiece, featuring custom signage that read “Enzo’s Pit Stop” and fun black-and-white checkered details.
We didn’t stop there:
- The building blocks were customized with Enzo’s name and race symbols.
- The soft play fence featured flag designs, giving the whole setup the vibe of a mini racetrack for toddlers.
- Slides and padded climbing areas gave little guests their own fast track to fun.
Thoughtful Decor with Cultural Significance
The family also honored Enzo’s Korean heritage by setting up a traditional Dol Sang table, beautifully arranged with symbolic items for the Dohl celebration. A photo collage displayed sweet moments from Enzo’s first year, bringing a personal touch that guests adored.
To tie the entire theme together, bold red, black, and white balloon arrangements added height and color to the space—perfect for photo ops and giving the whole party a festive, polished finish.
